| Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: any liver or kidney disease, blood disorders, porphyria, asthma, any allergies. When rising quickly from a sitting or lying position, dizziness or lightheadedness may occur. Change positions slowly. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness (such as driving) if this drug makes you dizzy or drowsy. Limit alcohol intake while taking this medication. This drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. Carisoprodol is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. Tell your doctor of all over-the-counter and prescription medication you may take including: sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, narcotic pain relievers, medication for depression and certain antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine). Many cough-and-cold products contain antihistamines, which can cause drowsiness. Check labels carefully and consult your pharmacist if you have any questions. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. Do not take CELEBREX if you: - If you have high blood pressure. - In analgesia and dysmenorrhea, the recommended dose for VIOXX is also 25 to 50 mg once a day. VIOXX provides relief through the day and through the night. SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking Vioxx include weakness or nausea. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience itching or skin rash, swelling of the feet or ankles, unexpected weight gain, vomiting material that looks like coffee grounds, or blood in stool or vomit. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience swelling of hands, face, lips, eyes, throat, or tongue; difficulty swallowing or breathing; hoarseness; flu-like symptoms; sluggishness; yellowing of the skin or eyes; stomach pain; dark urine or pale stools; or unusual fatigue. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. - If you are breast-feeding or plan to breast-feed. CELEBREX delivers 24-hour relief from a once-daily dose of 200 mg. - If you have had a serious stomach problem (ulcers) in the past. - Serious allergic reactions including swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and/or throat which may cause difficulty breathing or swallowing and wheezing occur rarely but may require treatment right away.
